There is nothing more promising than this next beautitude. "Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth". The earth is theirs. Not the powerful, not the ambitious, not the competitive strong aggressive people. It is the meek who gain the whole world. Well, let's first look at what meek means.
Its not just being passively nice or trying to get peace at any price. It's not a "weak" label or plain nice, happy joyful one either. It carries an essence of gentleness, submission (not blind) and above all, humbleness. You see that the world wants you to be 'big' and out there. You kno, its a competition to the top. But Christ is saying the opposite- be meek. We must not confuse this word with weakness. Because there is strength carried along with it. Meekness is an unnatural quality that is only enabled through the Spirit. You will never have the will to be meek unless you truly see yourself in relation to God. It is an utter awareness that you need God, live because of God and therefore live for God. The Christian would only want to ever live by the will of God, and not their own. They don't submit to their own wants, but God's, and do so in such a manner worthy of Christ. They stand up for the truth and won't back down even when opposition stands in their way. That is meekness. Look at the bible. The people there. They were so strong, yet so humble and meek. I like looking at Paul, He's so strong in standing up for the truth. He's so true to his faith and his character is so powerful. Yet he was so humble at the same time. But ultimately, look at Christ. He chose to become human and suffer for us. Look at his reactions to the people around him, he never lacked meekness.
So a Christian therefore, is meek. He brings himself low and willingly submits to the will of God. What happens to him? He will inherit the earth. He will have won over the world. Thus, they will always be content- because they know in their hearts what is true and worthwhile living for.
If you look at it, this description follows the other two well- only a poor spirited fellow would mourn and become meek. Thus, Christ has put the order in a logical way.

Hello Ms. Carmen,
You made your site nice-looking but I see that you don’t write here much anymore!
I want to help people to really get to know God, especially in these troubled times. God has an important message for everybody living now in these last days: 44 "And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that shall never be destroyed, nor shall the kingdom be left to another people. It shall break in pieces all these kingdoms and bring them to an end, and it shall stand forever." (Daniel 2:44) (ESV)

Hello again Ms. Carmen,
Thank you for your comments on my site. I see that you have a strong desire to serve God. Now is a good time! I recommend the one true God, Jehovah. He has an important message for all of us: 1 And now, O ye priests, this commandment is for you. 2 If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith Jehovah of hosts, then will I send the curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings; yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart. (Malachi 2:1-2) (ASV)
